I am currently bringing back to life this classic Tamiya R/C model, and want to fit a modern speed controller. I have the old Acoms Techniplus radio gear. Any ideas as to which electronic speed controller would be suitable?

If you are going to use the stock motor, then you can use virtually any speed control for brushed motors made. If you will update the motor, then just be sure the speed control can handle the motor. Not all can handle any motor, but all can handle the stock silver can motor.
