It’s a Porsche. It might be real fun to drive and cruise around in, but it will be in the shop a lot. And it will cost a boatload of money to get anything done to it.
If you are concerned about maintenence and repair costs, you should not be looking at a Porsche. It is a very nice car, build with very expensive parts, when those parts fail, they will be expensive to replace.

To echo what everyone’s already said, it’s hard to say how reliable it will be, but if/when you have to take it into the shop we know for certain it’s going to be expensive to fix.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
