I’ve been looking at Porsche Boxsters and most are either silver or dark blue. Which of these two colours look better?
A lot of people are saying Black is good too.
I think it would be a bit stressful with black – because I’ve seen so many nice black cars that have been vandalized.

dark blue. I hate silver…………
silver looks more expensive
Black or silver… BUT white can look very sleak and stylish… when its clean
Me personally I love the silver color.
i guess dark blue
I’d go for black
Go with the dark blue man, the silver seems to be the color everyone chooses. meh
BROWN IS HOT
silver usualy looks more classy and you see silver most in comercials but dark bule can look more sporty. personaly i like silver
Jet Black or Red
silver, silver, silver, silver, silver, silver, look into my eye’s, not around the eye’s, look into my eye’s , you’re under, SILVER!!!
dark blue, the car speaks for itself, the colour is classy.
Black, my friend, just remember to alway keep it clean. just sold one and i regret it, so, i’m out looking now.
There are two silvers:
Arctic Silver
GT Silver
There are three blues:
Lapis Blue
Midnight Blue
Cobalt Blue
The most common Boxster color is GT Silver. The best color for this car is Arctic Silver. It makes the car appear crisp, as if finished in clear-coated stainless steel. And it’s among the easiest colors to maintain.
I would choose dark blue over silver but,
My favorite color would be black.
The correct answer is guards red.
go for the Dark Blue because the Silver is jus too common and black on a Porsche Boxster is Rare and I’d choose Black over any colour because it stands out from the rest and Black is jus to Classy.
First, to correct an earlier answer, there are in fact 3 Porsche silvers depending on which years you are looking at, with Artic Silver being the most common (Artic silver has been available with the least cost among the premium silver colors since introduction).
GT Silver has only recently been offered and is the color that was introduced at the time the Carrera GT was brought out – it is a little darker than Artic Silver. Polar Silver is also found (though rarely) on some Boxsters, and I do not beleive it is a current offering (other than Color To Sample option), but it is a blue tinted silver with a little more color depth than most silvers.
As to Blue or Silver being the “best Porsche color,” that would be silver. Based strictly on history, silver (or white) is the German racing color (such as red for Italian cars or green for British).
As to which looks better though, it will entirely be up to your eye. Blue Boxsters can look great, and darker colors can look better due to how they will catch the light, but they also generally take more care to keep looking their best.
Hello, my father has a 2002 Porsche 996 turbo in BLACK, this is our 6th Porsche, from 2 gold 944′s to a midnight blue Carrera. To be honest the best colours are, Midnight blue, Seal grey and Basalt black. If I was in your position I would take it in the Basalt black colour because it makes all cars look stunning and sometimes even keep their value.
Dark blue, but black is better! Only silver if your old (no offence).
My 911 is black. The only thing you have to worry about is keeping it clean. I rarely drive mine and is usually under a cover in the garage but it’s the one color that get’s dirty real fast.
Blue doesn’t work on the Boxster…silver with a Black Top is TIGHT!
Black Black Black
!dude! u should get black
The yellow wasn’t mentioned but it’s my choice followed by white and then the blue. I know you only gave the two but I had to tell you what I thought. Go with the one you like better. It’s a good car and will be good in any color you decide you like best. Look at all of the choices at the dealer’s store. I happen to love the dark green with saddle leather and roof. It’s a classy combo that just oozes style.
Whatever choice you make, you have to live with it.
Dark blue looks the best right after a good wax job, and its just getting dusk outside….sexy!
the gray silvery color
i love the yellow and red, but if you have to choose between those two, the dark blue. keep in mind that if its foggy where you live, people are going to have a hard time keeping your car in sight.
I like them all, but I’d get Blue. I have a Blue 911 and its great. Silver is nice and good for keeping clean, but very common.
The most important thing, in my opinion, is to get a black, or atleast dark (maybe dark blue) interior. Anything else either looks bad right away (I don’t like the Porsche tan interior) or it will down the road.
I’ve seen other people say that Black is the only legitimate Porsche interior color.
Good Luck!!!
The name says it all:
Arrest-Me Red
Silver, dark blue, and black are the best colors for Porsche, but the classic porsche color is Silver. Most Porsches are Silver.
Just like Ferarri’s are red and Lamborghini’s are yellow.
I have a white 2001 and my dad has a black 2006. Any color looks nice on them, including the new orange special edition my uncle just picked up.
if it is a convertible get dark blue if not get yellow it is a nice color i know a lot about colors for which car
Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
