Porsche Carrera GT Ride in VRAlexander’s CGT

Brian goes for a loud, fast, exhilirating ride in VRAlexander’s legendary Carrera GT. It is fitted with AWE Tuning Straight Pipes, tuned cams, ECU, and other performance parts giving it 730 horsepower and a top speed of 226 mph. He floors it, does a small powerslide towards the end, and gets up to 130 MPH! Be sure to TURN UP YOUR SPEAKERS! Thanks again for the ride Alex, it was amazing! Enjoy…

    NOT EVEN YOU

I don’t think you even read my post, it said that double clutching can be beneficial in daily driving not drag racing or autocrossing.

  12. MoPar7055 - August 20th, 2007 at 9:22 pm

Rev matching still makes the synchro do all the work. All rev matching does is match the engine speed to wheel speed so the car doesn’t lurch backward. The input shaft still has to be sped up to speed by the synchros so in my car if I did that it wouldn’t go in unless I pushed real hard for about 5 seconds. This is why I double clutch. It is neccessary in my car for daily driving. Some old trucks don’t even have first synchronized at all so you have to or it will grind.

  13. ArcticGTS - August 21st, 2007 at 7:25 pm

I couldn’t give a fuck less about drag racing. That doesn’t prove shit. I mean an actual road coarse, etc. Learn your car, and rev match. Double clutching is not necessary.

  14. MoPar7055 - August 22nd, 2007 at 11:51 pm

I do it every day in daily driving. This seems to be like Quantum Physics for you to understand. I also race at Kansas City International Raceway and MoKan dragway but you don’t downshift when you dragrace. Double clutching is much easier on the synchros for one thing. You just can’t get it through you’re mind that their is good reason to do this in daily driving, if your transmission is difficult to downshift into 1st or second then you can double clutch and it will go in like butter.

  15. ArcticGTS - August 25th, 2007 at 7:50 am

So what track do you race at? I assume you would be racing on a track or in AutoX if you insist on doing these, right? I mean, you don’t do all that shit daily driving every day, do you?

That was in reference to curancho’s comment about Porsches having V6s. Stupid non-working reply button…

Actually, they have a flat six.

  18. EfOneAddict - August 29th, 2007 at 3:32 pm

He wasn’t heel & toeing or double-clutching. He was attempting to rev match his downshifts and for some reason blipped on a few up-shifts (pointless). Heel & toeing only works when your are simultaneously braking and downshifting from speed. Clutch as usual, right foot toes on brake and right foot heel on throttle depending on pedal layout. Top-hinged pedals sometimes work better when you throttle with your toe. Tomorrow’s lesson: How to not stall your supercar when the light turns green.

  19. MoPar7055 - August 31st, 2007 at 7:13 pm

There is a perfectly good reason to double clutch, I drive a T-850 (SRT-4 transmission) and while second is synchronized it won’t go in when downshifting or is very difficult unless you double clutch. I do this everytime I downshift to second. It will also make your synchros last longer and is good for the transmission. I don’t suppose you’ve ever heard of a dogbox transmission, then you really have to double clutch. And heel and toe double clutching is useful too but I’m running out of space.

  20. ArcticGTS - September 1st, 2007 at 4:55 am

Heel and toe double clutch? Wtf… another moron that doesn’t know shit.

Heel-toe is used to rev match when downshifting. This allows smoother transitions.

Double clutching is an obsolete. If anyone does it on a car with synchros, they should be shot.

You obviously don’t know what you’re talking about.

  22. curancho - September 7th, 2007 at 8:15 pm

this guy knows how to drive he uses heel and toe to shift down and not force the engine

  23. curancho - September 8th, 2007 at 1:57 pm

Some time before, I did need to buy a house for my corporation but I did not earn enough cash and couldn’t buy anything. Thank God my colleague proposed to get the credit loans at reliable bank. Thus, I did that and was satisfied with my auto loan.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

  28. how to do - October 15th, 2010 at 5:54 am

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

  31. how to choose blog designs - October 20th, 2010 at 12:28 am

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
