Around the race track it is not. 415 (not 413 HP) vs 480 HP, but then it is also 3200 lbs (GT3) vs 3700 lbs (Turbo). The exceptionally light weight makes the GT3 is a race track beast.

no it’s due to the 480 boost hp vs 413 Na hp..
    simple as that,

  3. SpeedKlz - October 4th, 2007 at 5:26 pm

Yes, in professional hands the GT3 lapped faster than the Turbo around a race track, but for amateur drivers, the Turbo might be easier to reach the limits due to AWD.

The GT3 and the turbo have the same engine, one N\A the other turbocharged. It is an evolution of the Porsche GT1 le mans car, it’s got dry sump, block and heads made in three pieces,Titanium valves and conrods, a special nitrured crankshaft, and so on.The turbo has a lower compression ratio than the gt3, but the engine is the same.
The standard Carrera engine is very very different.

  5. emadelta86 - October 6th, 2007 at 1:11 am

In the hands of a very very good driver, yes.
For 99% of amateur track day racers the turbo is faster, because it’s easier to take to the limit, where the gt3 is much more difficult to drive fast.

    bende porscheleri seviyorum

  7. SpeedKlz - October 10th, 2007 at 5:15 pm

GT3 RS owns the 997 turbo around a race track.

  8. grandthefttruck - October 14th, 2007 at 2:46 am

try doing that to a nissan gtr

  9. mufflejoy - October 15th, 2007 at 4:01 pm

Wow – nice comparison. I was surprised that the Turbo butchered the GT3RS with what seemed to be almost no effort. Excellent clip. Would be interesting to see how they match up in ‘real’ race conditions – the RS3 should be able to regain something in a nice curvy setup :-)

  12. rockysi22 - October 22nd, 2007 at 2:51 pm

No they are both fundamentally different engines. Even the displacements are different.. Why that is.. is something you’ll have to figure out on your own.

  13. m5boarddotcom - October 25th, 2007 at 10:36 pm

No it is not, it is a GTBoard exclusive video.

Which camcorder did you shoot with? The picture looks nice…

  20. novan3 - November 11th, 2007 at 2:36 am

No silly! The RS has a tuned version of a Carrera engine; the Turbo has a twin-turbo setup of it.

  21. novan3 - November 11th, 2007 at 10:37 pm

What!?…Is that RS sponsored by Hugo Boss

  22. mattyoz0 - November 12th, 2007 at 6:54 am

    Less power!

  23. KopaszJack - November 14th, 2007 at 9:38 am

    it has less horse power

  24. brocky - November 15th, 2007 at 2:41 am

The GT3RS is a lightened version of the 911 GT3. The GT3 is the track version of the 911 Carrera which is naturally aspirated. The Turbo is it’s own thing. The lightened version of the Turbo is the GT2.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

  32. film izle - November 5th, 2010 at 12:38 pm

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
