Help, I got into a car accident with a porsche cayenne?

porsche insurance

I am 21 years old and last nite I was driving in my dads cayenne and when all of a sudden i slipped on a piece of ice, slammed on the break and the car slid right into a mazda 3 hatchback, wasn’t going that fast or anything.
The porches damage was substantial, damaged the bumper and broke one of the lights, the mazda 3 however was severely damaged, broken tail lights, broke back glass and major dent in trunk.
I live in Montreal, quebec, canada where we have no fault insurance, not quite sure what that is perhaps you could explain that to me. Can they sue me, the accident was my fault, no doubt about that. The deductable on my dads car is 3000 dollars, anything over our insurance company, allstate pays, what do you think the deductable is on the mazda, I estimate around 500 dollars.
It was my first car accident, i was horrified, i’m so nervous, what happens next?
Has anyone else ever gotten into a big accent, please help me?
the other guy has insurance 2, it was a kid driving his dad dealership car.

You turn it in to your insurance company, who will contact the other insurance company and make arrangements to pay them for the damage you caused by not having your car under control. And someone will be paying the first $3,000 of course, you or dad.

TO FOLLOW UP ON THE ABOVE ANSWER YES YOU CAN BE SUED AS WELL AS YOUR DAD.

Well, the first two answers sound good in a “tort” State, however, Quebec is a true “NO FAULT” environment.

Typically in a no fault environment, I pay for me and the other guy pays for himself.

You really need to contact your agent as soon as they open. There might even be a 24 hour claims service that you can report to. If not, do it Monday!

As both of the other answers state…..YOU or your Dad is going to be OUT $3000…You won’t have to write a check for the $3000, it’s just that the company will pay all but the first $3000 which amounts to your deductible. But, it will be REAL similar to writing a check for that amount to the repair facility.

With the other driver driving a vehicle from his Dad’s automobile business – he may have his own set of problems: was he a listed driver? Typically drivers need to be listed on commercial policies for coverage to apply – but this shouldn’t be YOUR concern.

Just turn the claim in and be more careful in the future! Driving on ice takes a lot of practice and STOPPING takes even more! You might head out to a deserted parking lot some day and practiced controlled skids…just to get the feel of how your auto reacts under the icy conditions.

Good luck, drive RESPONSIBLY and I hope this helps!

Maybe don’t be canadian, a woman or driving a porsche….one or even two of things could have prevented this accident…hopefully your daddy throws you out into the street and make you pay the 3k deductible…

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
