universal technical institute teaches porsche and bmw and i think mercedes but im not sure. its not an expensive school i know that but i think if you qualify you can get financial aid. if you go to there website im sure they would send you a free brochure. they came to my highschool last year and talked and gave out some free stuff. sounds like a good school.

you don’t need to go to any certain school to get into the program. most people in my BMW STEP class were from UTI, but i went to a different school, Baran institute of technology, and was then recruited by STEP for having exceptional grades and attendance. it is extremely hard to get into, and even harder to get through.

once you graduate, the pay varies depending on what dealer you go work for, flat rate is always the same (within a manufacturer) BMW has excellent warranty rates though. for my STEP class, the range was about 17-22 dollars/hr to start, and most went on flat rate and got a 2-3 dollar raise after 3-6 months (depending on performance) i was on the higher end, i went to work for BMWNA,and started at 22.50/hr, i have been out of STEP for 10 months, and tomorrow morning i have an interview for a big promotion that would start me at about 80,000/yr, and they give me a new car every 6 months, so there is tons of opportunity there, all i can tell you is where ever you do decide to go… work hard, stay focused, and dont miss days. and if you don;t have any shop experience, get some, that’s a deal breaker.good luck

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
