How is the Porsche 911 pronounced?

Friday 29 February 2008 @ 3:09 pm
porsche

Does one say “nine hundred eleven,” “nine hundred and eleven,” “nine one one,” “nine eleven” …. I think this car is really cool, and I would hate to refer to in incorrectly in front of someone who knows what they’re talking about.
I know how to pronounce Porsche. I’m just asking about the “911″ part.

Is the Audi Q7 built on the same chassis as the Porsche Cayenne and VW Touareg?

porsche

I know that the Cayenne and the Touarge we built as a joint project, and the Q7 looks very similar and is made by Audi which is part of the VW compony.

Seriously, Can you install in the doors of a 1988 porsche 911 coupe a strengthend aluminum side impact beam?

Wednesday 27 February 2008 @ 2:17 pm
porsche

Can you open up the door and actually just get a place or do it yur self and weld or bolt a aluminum side impact beam or bar into the doors. i am serious, i actually love the design of this year of the 911 but i would be scared to drive this and be worried that if i were hit i would get hurt very badly. i would probly do this to the doors because of this year the doors are very weak and if a car or truck comes by and hits my side then the car will just collaps in. i would also but a roll cage into the porsche too. if i can’t do this to the doors. also can you and a flat bar of steel right before the foot well to theres lots of protect in a frontal accident and can i also add a steel flat bar but smaller between the engine and the backs of the rear sets. also this is just a fun question of this year of this porsche would yo.u rather have a coupe, cabriolet, or targa

What engine and transmission could I fit into my 1987 porsche 924s?

Tuesday 26 February 2008 @ 4:35 am
porsche

Looking at replacing the engine and transmission of my 924S and hoping to upgrade in the process. I know that with a little modification a ls1 v8 will fit, but I’m hoping to stick with a powerful 4-cylinder and a manumatic transmission.

BMW M3 or porsche boxster? which is a better buy?

Sunday 24 February 2008 @ 12:03 am
porsche carrera

either a 2004 porsche boxster or a 2002 M3.

i am havign a hard time because i dont kknow if i shud buy a 2 seater car or a 4 seater. i want the 2 seater because its a porsche and i dont have to give people rides(im in high school) or the beamer the larger and according to my mom its better looking convertible. i believe the beamer is more powerful but wont the porsche go faster because its lighter? and plus its a PORSCHE, but its not a carrera i mean if it was no questin between the carrera and m3 its carrera. but the decision is based on a lifestyle….what do you guys think a 2 seater or the 2002m3 convertible which is more practicle and will not regret the purchase.

id appreciate it if people kept the insults out and just gave an honest truthful opinion. thanks

which one would u choose and WHY!!!

my porsche boxster sort of squeaks and makes noises when driving slowly. Is it the convertible top?

Saturday 23 February 2008 @ 5:26 am
porsche dealer

It’s not engine noise or anything, it sound likes it’s the top maybe? the chassis or alignment (sorry I’m a girl I’m not sure what I’m saying) I notice it if I am slowing down to under 30 or 20 mph.

It’s not VERY noisy, but is it normal?
It’s a 2002 but it seems wobbly and rattling like an older car despite my dealer saying it has been inspected and is perfect. Or am I over reacting? Thank you!
I don’t think it is the top. It doesn’t do it at all at high speeds or anything accelerating. Only around town driving or slowing down to stop and going under 25. It sounds like an old horse & carriage you know really creaky.
