porsche parts

ok, well im a 10th grader with a usual 3.3ish GPA. ive lived my life to the fullest and i like to have fun. i live on island time most of the time, just takin life pretty chill and what comes comes.

goals: have a nice house, drive a Porsche and atleast 2 other cars and a speed bike.

a little about myself

1. im really into flying helicopters, im looking alot into the coast guard
2. i like cars alot, i love working with them and driving them
3. i like working with computers for the most part. its not my favorite thing to do but i have and extreme talent in them
4. my career, i absoutly will not work in a cubicle or in an area that the scenery doesnt change much.
5. i like working with animals, dolphins, whales, dogs….
6. i like things that are exciting, and i want to take that into my career
7. im more of the kind of person that is really lay back, the buisness man style of working in an office is not for me.
8. i would like to have a job were i call the shots, im a leader
im a leader, not a follower. i have talent at organizing things and people so that it works out all good.
i dont come from a family that makes millions, if i want to make it in life im gonna have to work my way up along with the help of my mom. its not gonna be handed to me on a silver spoon.

i do have connections with people who are rich.
im outgoing most of the time and fun, my serious side comes out sometimes but its rare. if somthing needs to be done, i can get it done.
i want to be the kind of person who is sitting at home one night and decides to take a car out for a spin and go have some fun and not need to worry about money.
i do have plans to go to college but i dont know what field i fully want to get into.

if you had a choice of buying a nice 3000gt vr4 with alot of mods to it or a porsche 944 with alot of mods on it and theres both turbo charged which would be better for drifting and straight drags which would be stronger and all around a better buy

own 1999 911 conv. battery died- hood lever stuck (broken)- is there an alternative way to pop hood – I need to find a way to get the hood open or a way to jump the battery without getting in the hood. THe second lever works for the engine – maybe there is a way to to fix the lever?

I want to tune a Dacia 1300 (Romanian car from 1970).Its a piece of shit that costs 500$ but i want to make it nuts.I have enough money for exotic cars but i REALLY would like to slap a ZO6 enigne in it and put some Maserati quatroportte interior and some BBS rims/Brembo brakes in it.I wanted a Porsche engine but idk if i want to complicate myself with the twin turbo of the cayenne.SO can i fit a zo6 engine in it?

I own a pair of Adidas Porsche Design, and will be purchasing the Adidas Goodyear FS. I bought them because they look sweet. They’re both classified as “driving shoes.”

Why?

How to install pistons in boxer (flat) engine? (subaru, porsche, other)?

Saturday 21 June 2008 @ 9:27 am

With the block being split down the middle, rods must be installed before the crankcase is closed up, unlike all other designs. With an air-cooled engine pistons can easily be installed before the sleeves are slid on, but on a water-cooled block, where the sleeves are cast into the crankcase, this becomes much more difficult.

I know that flat 4 subarus have accessible holes on the side of the block where a pin and snap ring can be inserted, but what about 6 cylinder (and higher) engines? How would you reach the middle cylinders? do you use a tool to insert a pin through the same access hole? I am an engineering student and am trying to design a boxer engine. I am just researching on the way manufacturers have overcome this particular problem.

I would appreciate pictures and links to discussions about boxer engines and advantages of certain designs.

For those that do not know, this is how pistons are installed on a flat-4

Thanks All
Thanks for the responses but I was asking about a block with non-removable cylinders, such as those on modern boxer engines. From what I understand there are “windows” for each cylinder and a special tool is needed to install the wristpin to the center cylinders. I just think this is a bit imprecise as the pin and securing clip could be lost and the crankcase would need to be disassembled to recover is again.

BTW. I would rather use a solid block with integrated cylinders as I’m sure it’s a much stronger design. The more parts you have the more flex and twist might occur under higher stress.
