Porsche Carrera GT with AWE Tuning Straight Pipes In Action

Brian goes for a drive in VRAlexander’s legendary Porsche Carrera GT. The video shows lots of footage from inside the CGT on the road, drifts, flybys, freeway pulls, and much more. I switch about half way threw the vid from the CGT to a different car to get some differnt viewpoints of the Carrera GT. Also along on the drive was a modded 996TT, modded GT2, and a modded Audi S4. Major thanks goes out to VRAlexander for inviting me on the ride, it’s always fun when your in town! And also to the rest of the great guys on the run. Hope you all enjoy the video and be sure to TURN UP YOUR SPEAKERS! Video #425.

Remember to watch in High Quality mode, it’s a lot clearer :)

Although I am a fan of the Audi R8, I think many people have lost sight of what is important in a car. It’s not all about lap times, 1/4 miles and 0-60′s. It’s also about the sound and experience, as without those, you’ll hate your supercar, no matter how fast it is. The driving experience is what matters, as most people can’t drive their cars well enough to utilize their full potential. The minuscule difference the times of the GT-R and CGT (Nurburgring) can only be created by the pros.

Exactly. You should see some of the comments on the McLaren video’s.
Apparently a Nissan GTR or Audi R8 would “own” one of those aswell.

There are WAY too many kids watching these videos that think they know all about cars since they started watching Fast & Furious films and playing Need For Weed, I mean Speed games.

It’s sad..I’ve never seen a Carrera GT around my neighborhood but I see every other supercar. I love these things though, nothing else sounds better than German V12

Yeah for the same money you can buy a ford fiesta and fit a hayabusa turbo engine and spend the rest on hookers.

Wake the fuck up…. the joy of driving is not just about 0-60 times or nurburgring track times. This Carrera GT is something completely different to the Nissan. Yes the Nissan is fast but wake up man, can you not HEAR this car? I’m getting shivers just hearing the noise this thing makes. Dear lord man, do not compare this to a GT-R.

  14. 2007TypeR - August 30th, 2008 at 6:22 am

Agree….and you can’t compare a race car to a road legal one such as this….These fucking idiots on youtube piss me off sometimes. It’s like they find these exotic car videos and then say “LOL SUPRA/SKYLINE WULD OWN THIS LOL” …. yeah shut the fuck up and calm down and let your balls drop before you comment any further.

hey, are you from danville? A lot of your videos are filmed in that area and I notice you go to Auto Affair’s car meets too. Anyways, just wondered if I knew you cause I lived in danville for 20 years. Anyways, good vids.

Let’s make no bones about it; The only Skyline’s that are anything even approaching this car are the factory Nismo GTR racers from the JGTC.
And when will you ever see those on the road sounding as fierce as this?!

  20. thawinner - September 11th, 2008 at 11:20 am

nice f’n car!!! but i’ll still buy a nissan gt-r for half the price of this porsche and spend the other half on extra parts…

  21. willmon8 - September 11th, 2008 at 12:49 pm

Ya, sry dude but the difference is that this is a work of art in every way. While yours may be fast, it is ugly. The price is in the design.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

  26. how to - October 15th, 2010 at 3:17 am

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
