Any of you Mustang Drivers ever spanked a Porsche 911?

porsche gt

I destroyed one today on the interstate, some yuppie thought he would be a badass and try to pass me in the right lane. I sped up and he reved his engine, then I blasted his doors off and topped out at 185 mph (and it would have done more)! The last thing he saw was the backe of my 95 GT 5.0. Just another example of a my STOCK mustang killing a so called exotic. Bring it on!!!!!!!!!!
hell yeah that thing was a turbo but it got smacked!!!!

Let me be the first to call BS.

In a real race a 95 Mustang would not beat a 911 Turbo. Also, you were not driving 185mph that is just a plain lie. I find it hard to believe you would be so stupid as to risk jail, just to prevent someone from overtaking you.

Finally, a 911 Turbo is worth $100,000+ so if this so called yuppie wanted to own an ugly POS Mustang like yours he could probably sell his car and buy 10 cars just like yours.

You own a very ugly crap noisy Ford. The other guy in your little fantasy owns a classic sports car. I’m sure if you were offered to swap you would do so in a heart beat. Mind you your post was pretty retarded, so maybe you wouldn’t.

You forgot mention the part about waking up and realizing it was only a dream. What year was the guys Porsche ’56? There’s no way a stock ’95 Mustang can beat a 911. And didn’t they stop making 5.0s in ’93?

    Dream on….

But I do like to be spanked :)

  4. Harry - October 3rd, 2008 at 8:27 pm

I think you were reading k.p.h., not m.p.h. There is no way you got a stock ’95 Mustang GT to 185. A C6 Corvette with about 160 more horsepower hits about 186. You also don’t mention what year the 911 was. Again, a late model Turbo could possibly hit 180 (not to mention utterly destroy an SN-95 ‘Stang), but it’s possible you could pull on an older model.

Just to answer Weekend Warrior’s question, the 5.0 HO did carry over to the SN-95 Mustangs, the modular 4.6L showed up in ’96 or ’97.

  5. xturboexpress - October 4th, 2008 at 3:45 pm

    Uhmm.

If it was a Turbo, and he was trying to race you, he world literaly wipe your face against the pavement…

    1998 Ford Mustang GT
*note this is the 4.6L, faster out of the box but not nearly the potential of the 5.0 I know, but you said you are stock so this is optamistic.

    1320 ft (1/4 mile)15.00 s @ 93.7 mph
    Theoretical Top Speed 142 mph
    0-100 mph17.10 s

    2002 Porsche 911 Targa
*note this is the slowest 911, NOT TURBO, nor an S model.

    1320 ft (1/4 mile)13.52 s @ 105.59 mph
    Theoretical Top Speed 171 mph
    0-100 mph11.94 s

And you want me to belive you spanked a 911 TURBO?

The slowest 911 does 0-100 over 5 full seconds faster than a your mustang.

the Porsche GT2 does the 0-100 mph in WELL under 10 seconds, a supercharged streetable 5.0 would be just *starting* to compete with the new 911 Turbo.

You are what ricers are to imports, but to domestics.

And I say all of this with no bias to the Ford, infact, a SN95 Cobra with a GT25 dual BB turbo is the #1 fastest car I’ve driven, I love it, but you are full of it man, get real.

  6. calnickel - October 6th, 2008 at 12:43 pm

I think he passed you so fast you thought you were passing him.

    Physically impossible!! Didn’t happen!!

Isn’t your ‘stang blowin’ blue by now?

  7. jodi d - October 6th, 2008 at 6:12 pm

hey come on answerers in here. give the guy a break, what’s so bad about mustangs i don’t think a 5.0 will do nearly 300 kph but maybe a 2006 gt will with the rights mods done to it.. 400 hp stock

  8. riksolo - October 8th, 2008 at 8:14 pm

ha ha funny fantasy even if it was an old tired ass 1977 911 turbo (the first year) it could easily whomp a 5.0 even with a straight yuppie driving it face it dude you spanked a vw and embelished to feel manly

  9. chetco - October 10th, 2008 at 3:14 pm

The other chetco is NOT me, but a clone..note the difference in levels..Thanks..

  10. not so good - October 13th, 2008 at 11:37 pm

Ok I love mustangs but I dont think you have a chance in the world to beat one. He probley wasn’t racing open throttle. Hey I love ford mustangs man and its great to see another big fan like me. Do some mods take care of that car

  11. cobramanphil - October 14th, 2008 at 9:56 am

Come on people! Can you not tell he was just baiting with you all:) It’s called a joke:)

On a side note I think the sn95 mustangs were the best looking in the recent years and they had a lots of potential (better, solid car with better brakes and a very moddable 5.0 liter motor).

To the “other” dreamer that wants to race the mustang in a maxima…well you would lose.

As the old saying….people are comparing apples to oranges again. Two very different cars in two different car classes.

And to Atacataco…torque is what wins races..not the quoted hp figure from the factory(s). You can mod a cobra, vette, ls-1, whatever…it comes down to who has the most money and the most driver skill that wins the race.

  12. Dear Blabby - October 17th, 2008 at 11:40 am

Doubtful you spanked a Porsche doing 185 in a stock 95 GT.. unless you got Saleen mods on your ride…. Im on my 4th Stang ( Kenny Bell supercharged 03 GT ) and have no end of fun spanking the BMW’s and Camaro’s ( the ones that are left that is… ) My all time favorite is embarrassing the Honda / Toyota crowd on the interstate… when the 11 pounds of boost kicks in… BYE BYE!!!

Chetco’s Evil Twin ~~~~ bring that freeway flyer POS Maxima up here anytime… :)

  13. Atacataco - October 18th, 2008 at 4:26 pm

He said the maxima was slow you dipshits. But the maxima would with. 255hp vs 225. Sorry, the mustang is slower. Throw a supercharger on an LS1 and your extensively modded mustang is toast.

  14. cordie_andrews - October 19th, 2008 at 10:50 pm

This must be the joke of the day.

Blabby- I got an ol’ Chevy truck for you to wax with you s/c’d 03 GT… I’ll even set you out a couple… what do you say?

  15. so1o - October 20th, 2008 at 1:55 pm

You are making yourself and all other mustang owners look very bad. First off, bone stock, the top speed of a 95 GT is nowhere NEAR 185mph. Second, the Porsche 911 you raced wasn’t paying attention to you. Third, stop trying to be cool and show off on the internet. Fourth, shut the F*** up!

  16. Sexy Bastard - October 23rd, 2008 at 1:30 am

Okay and you just happened to beat a Porsche with a mustang. Right. Maybe if you had a Camaro or Corvette you may have been able to, but not a mustang. In your dreams my friend.

  17. Mr. Fixit - October 25th, 2008 at 11:37 pm

Stop it…JUST STOP IT… this is not possible because I just looked on the PORSCHE answers and there’s a guy who is saying he pee’d his pants after shuttin’ down a 5.0 who was adamant on racing him he let him get a quarter mile lead and then the Porsche blew past him so fast the 5.0 didn’t see him.. You just thought you won…..LOL
OK little pony boy come by my place and we;ll hook up my 71 Pantera against ya……Ya that’s what I though…you don’t know what a pantera is…Go learn the car before you start Bs’n

Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.

  20. how to - October 15th, 2010 at 5:57 am

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

  21. how to choose blog designs - October 20th, 2010 at 12:32 am

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

i didnt know that, is there another article like that? because i really wanna know more about it

  23. Ferdinand Fuents - October 21st, 2010 at 5:55 am

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.
