Will Porsche stop at nothing for publicity?

porsche

Tim Brady clocked at 172 in a 911 and now I hear that the twin towers was put off by 2 days so it could be on 9/11 as one of the pilots had a brother who ran a Porsche dealership and thought the 9/11 or 911 connection good for business in the Arab states.

Was Tim Brady paid by Porsche to do 172 miles an hour down a country lane? i didnt realise they did this as a publicity stunt. I havent read your question wrong…….it states ‘will porsche stop at nothing for publicity’, so you are saying all this was done by Porsche?

Yes, Porsche promotes so much this way! I recently overheard how much they had to pay to the various govenments of the world to ensure that 9:11 occurs twice EVERY single day of the year! As a bonus, most of the governments also included 3:56, 7:18, 9:17… and so on.

But as to the points you specifically bring up? Since the Tim Brady incident barely registered a note outside of England, which is not a major market for Porsche compared to others, this seems unlikely that they were somehow behind this. Though perhaps an employee of Porsche that had a similar lacking of brain power as the original poster thought he was arranging for TOM Brady (quarterback of the New England Patriots) to speed? That would have at least been news worthy enough to get some publicity!

As for the last part? First of all, you seem to be under the mistaken impression that the 911 is a current Porsche model… the current Carrera is the 997 (and it was the 996 back when 9/11 happened). So even if you happen to be so completely stupid as to consider something like that, then you would still have to discount it since it is difficult to make a connection to selling something that is no longer for sale.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
