I want a good, sporty, and decently fast supercar. It get’s 23 mpg because of the v6. The Porsche Cayman is a little on the safe side when compared to other Porsches, and cars like Vipers, Z06s, etc. But that’s what I think makes it a good starter sports car.
On the other hand I hear all the time that it isn’t worth the price because it’s boring and too slow. Now I ask you, is the Cayman slow for it’s type of car? Is the v6 too weak? Even so, I really don’t want a car that’s like a motorcycle on 4 wheels.
So yea, I just want to know if the Cayman isn’t a waste of money and if it’s price matches with it’s performance.
*Sigh*
Jeez, do you really have to be so smart with my spelling mistakes? You obviously know I meant sports car.

The bar has really been dropped if the Cayman is a “supercar.”
The cayman is a nice car for the money. But you are comparing it to the wrong cars. viper and z06 are different type of cars.
The cayman S is pretty fast, for that money though, you could scrap the boxtser with a top and go for a BMW 335i coupe, or hardtop convertible, or an Audi A5, both rival the performance of the cayman. For only a little more you could get a BMW M3, which kills the cayman.
So, it’s a great car, but there are better values out there.
With the Cayman you’re getting Porsche handling and driveability in the cheapest hard top they make. You’re going to get a feel of great build quality and tight, responsive handling. The power is not great, but it’s certainly plenty powerful for an everyday car.
Is it the best value is the world? Probably not. You could get a 350Z with more power that will probably run with it on any track for half the price. There are probably a half dozen cars that could smoke it at the drag strip for under $35,000. A Corvette would leave it in the dust on just about any track in the world and if around the same price (I’m talking a standard Vette, a ZO6 is in a whole other class and would blow it away).
You’re still not getting that Porsche driving experience or nameplate though. Is it worth the extra cash? I don’t know, that’s up to you. If you’ve got the money and it interests you, it’s certainly worth at least a test drive.

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)
Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.
The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.
