i have an 08 m5 and its greatttttttt. but i need a companan for my beast. i looked at the v8 vantage and grandturismo. nice but to flashy. then my son brought up the 997 turbo, gt3, or gt3rs. which one would be best for a new england climate and best for my family. i also do a lot of track schools and what not.so i need somthin that will fit those three qualities best

Sounds like you have money to burn. If that is the case, why not get yourself a Carrera GT.
Here is another, more affordable option. Buy a Cayman S and have a 355HP 3.8L carrera s motor put in. I know several folks that are doing this… costs about 30K with custom after market exhaust for the motor upgrade. Good porsche mechanics in New England (Fairfield, CT area, Cambridge, MA area) can do this for you. Plus you can sell the old 3.4L motor if you want. This car with a 3.8 mid-engine will probably out perform and out handle anything on the track. Plus it is a fresh new look… the 911 is getting a bit tired.
As far as the climate goes, you are not going to drive any of these in the winter, are you? That would be a shame… just go buy a subaru for the snow and save your summer cars for the summer.
If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
