I’m currently 16 years old, 6’3 and around 200 pounds. I’ve been trying to buy a used Porsche Boxster/Boxster S Convertible 2000-2003. The only concern I have over this is my height, I have been in many sports cars that I have trouble with my height by my head sticking over the top.. Such as the BMW 3 series convertible, and Mercedes SLK convertible. I don’t ever sit straight up when i’m driving… I usually slouch down.. But if I was to slouch would my legs be riding up on the steering wheel? Porsche really catches my interest so I was wondering if there was anyone that could help me or could post previous experiences.. Thanks

I am also 6’3 and have owned a number of sports cars that were probably too small for me, but frankly, put the biggest ever smiles on my face.
Notably the honda s2000, lotus elise 111s and the porsche boxster s (currently own a late 01 model).
regarding the boxster s and your question in particular – yes you can get away with slouching a bit and you should have plenty of room for your legs still. however, whilst the causes of my current back problems cannot be exactly confirmed, i am pretty sure it may in part be due to squeezing myself into tiny sportscars for too long!
If budget allows, go for the 911 – it is slightly bigger. It’s not mid-engined, but a fantastic car…. Don’t know whether it is quite what you are looking for, but also give the Nissan 350Z a chance / testdrive… great bang for buck, and is (strangely unlike other japanese cars) well suited for taller drivers.
I have driven a 98 Boxster, which is the same as the 2000-2003 versions.
I am 6 foot tall and 190 pounds and I had lots of room and sat comfortably.
I have driven over 200 cars and many sportscars like the 350z, Mazda RX-8, Audi TT, Mercedes SL55 AMG, Chevy Corvette, and more.
When I drove the Porsche Boxster, I knew that I would one day buy a Porsche. It was the most fun I had in a car.
In the rain, it is very slippery since it is RWD and the tires were not all season tires.
And the one I drove had a broken convertible top that did not open. I don’t think that is a common problem, but you should make sure you close it and open it properly so it does not break.
The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

If you’re still on the fence: grab your favorite earphones, head down to a Best Buy and ask to plug them into a Zune then an iPod and see which one sounds better to you, and which interface makes you smile more. Then you’ll know which is right for you.

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
