What was your favourite in the series?
Mine was Porsche Unleashed (2000), It was pure racing, beautiful tracks, nice music along with it…everything after NFSPU2 was just awful…

need for speed hot pursuit is the best racing game of 1998, it was the one racing game i would play, growing up. everyday after grade 6,7 i would spent hours upon hours racing. cool objectives, it was really fun trying to evade the police when there right on your trail, i really liked it when you were able to unlock faster cars and cause even more HAVOC on the police. man…………those were the days.. the best time of my life was spent with my jr high friends play need for speed hot pursuit.i even play it to this day occasionally.

NFS Most Wanted.
Good storyline, good graphics and good characters.
if u’d ask me, i think i’ll go with NFS Hot Pursuit 2 as the best, coz of the Game play, it had good graphics,music and gr8 police chase..!! and second best would be NFS MOST WANTED..! Man!! the story was awesome, n moreover i jus love,Josie Maran who stared in it.!!
Underground 2. great customization, pretty good story, great tracks. the cutscenes could’ve been better though. And i didn’t like how in some magazine photo shoots & races, you had to drive all the way to the other side of the map.
Most Wanted wasn’t bad. I actually liked it, my second fav in the series. Improved graphics, improved gameplay, good story, great cutscenes. the cop chases were awesome too. I’m glad they’re putting back the cops in Undercover. IMO, everything after Most Wanted, the series started going downhill. Hopefully, Undercover won’t disappoint like the previous ones(Carbon, Prostreet).
I agree with you. NfS Porsche unleashed was by far the best in the series. You could tune up your vehicles, and had beautiful car interior views.
The tracks were great. The multiplayer was excellent. The most fun was had on the track with the iced lake. There was one corner, where it was possible to “fall” through the surface, and get catapulted high into the air.
Ah, good times.
Mine is need for speed most wanted because
1.its in day light
2.its got police
3.its cars are awesome
4.its very relistic
5.it has a good story line.
its has to be the best
The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

Excellent article my friend. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for for quite a time now…
The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.
