I have ATI MOBILITY RADEON X1400 graphic card in my Dell Inspiron 6400. It is so strange that although I can’t play OLDER games on my laptop such as NFS PORSCHE UNLEASHED, FORD RACING 3, NFS CARBON works fine. Older games run really slow which you don’t expect from that graphic card. I change several game display options but it doesn’t work. How can i resolve this problem? Thanks

Go to the graphics card troubleshoot – advance and back off the hardware acceleration.
It is in the settings screen where you change the resolution.
Also there is a Microsoft hardware accelerator in the sound system. This affects ford racing2 so could affect other games
Click on your desktop
Hit Fn1
Type in hardware acceleration
Note this search will only find the sound as the graphics is not Microsoft
Just back the slide bar off to 3/4 and try the s ound card first.
Also if you have vista right click on the shortcut and choose XP in the compatibility tab, is another option.
