What is the best choice of Oil for a Porsche Cayenne S 05′?

It recommends Mobil 1, but what type would be best suited for anything?

Thanks in advanced.
I know Mobil 1 but which type?

0w-40, 5w-30, 5w-40 those kinds?

I heard that Porsche factory defaults use 0w-40.

    Porsches are filled at the factory with Mobil 1, 0-W40 weight. That’s all you need to know, and that’s all Porsche recommends for its cars.

    I have a ’02 996TT and have used Mobil 1 (0w-40) as the factory recommends. The oil weight is important to this engine because to the variable camshafts operating system. It uses oil pressure to drive the camshaft mechanism. That is why the weight of the oil is so important.

    Recently I read a test report that compared many different oil brands and both standard and synthetic varieties. The test showed that Royal Purple Brand was significantly better in the test that uses a oil industry standard bearing friction load tester. I’m still toying with changing brands when I deplete my store of Mobil 1, but I would use the same weight oil.

    The factory uses (and also recommends) Mobil 1, 0w-40. Mobil 1 has been a strong name and is at least a decent choice. However it is far from the best. Much of it’s reputation was built in the past, and prior to it’s most recent reformulation. The current version has notably reduced amounts of zinc which is directly affects a motor oil’s ability to prevent wear.

    Depending on how you drive and how often you change oil, this may not be an issue. But if your engine is driven hard and you are going changing oil at intervals that would be considered “normal” for synthetics (~10k), it may be cause for concern.

    Redline and Royal Purple would be the two best choices out there at the moment among the synthetics. Both have better levels of zinc and other anti-wear components, as well as high flash points and have scored low in sulfated ash in testing.

    Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

    Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

    Sorry for the huge review, but I’m really loving the new Zune, and hope this, as well as the excellent reviews some other people have written, will help you decide if it’s the right choice for you.

    Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
