I’m “upgrading” a 1987 Porsche 944, non-turbo. Finding parts for this thing is hectic to say the least. Who/where can I turn to online?

Man this sucks. I bought a 2000 Boxster of eBay and a week later the engine failed. I was just casually driving down the street and a huge cloud of smoke came from my engine, some fluids leaked underneath and it won’t start.
I guess I need to take it to the shop. What is this repair going to cost me? Is it cheaper to rebuild or replace? How long does it take?

I own a 1969 Chevy Chevelle, but I don’t like the engine too much. Is it possible for me to just get a used Porsche engine and tiptronic transmission and install it ?
Also, if I was able to install it, how would I be working the tiptronic? The Chevelle has steering column shift so I dont know how I would be able to work the manual mode on the new transmission.
Thanks ahead guys

I’m looking to get a Porsche 997 in the high 30k-lower 40k range, about 40-50k milage is ok.
Yet most i found are in manual.
I thought 70% of Porsche sold in North America are Automatic, why is there such a lack of them in Used Car Market??

I’m looking at buying a 1995 Porsche 928 gts and I’m wondering if its a good car. It has about 91,000 miles on it, I’ve seen it in person and its in pretty good shape. I want to know if it would be worth buying. I mean like was one of the legendaries of the porsche world.
