I have been looking for a new car for some time, looked at them all.
Essentialy I want something that is reliable and is good for Sunny California hence needing a softtop.
So its down to Toyota Solara, BMW 325, Audi A4.
What is the best option and is there anything else I should think about. Most I want to spend is around 20k.
Is a boxter worth looking at or is it just a poor mans porsche

There’s a lot cars on my list right, but I’m looking to narrow down and find the best buy out there, between mercedes SLK, audi A4, volvo C70, mustang GT, pontiac soltice, saturn sky, nissan z, porsche boxter. which one?
I am thinking about getting a 1987 Porsche 928s4 and I was just wondering if you think this car will turn out good and be really fast if i spend about 6-7 thousand and install a turbo with some engine internals done, a power chip, intake and good exhaust?
I meant about 6-7 thousand for the turbo kit alone.
