I was on craigslist and someone is selling a 1983 Porsche 944. The only problem with the car is the ring and pinion sheered a tooth. I am not quite sure what that means because I am a woman but I was wondering how much would it cost to repair this problem? I want to buy this car but not if this is a super expensive problem! i need to open the head gasket and i read online that i can use a 928 camshaft or head on a 944 can remember which one or model. Can i use a newer different Porsche parts to make the 944 Porsche a tad bit faster?

I would wash it by hand using water, what type of soap do u recommend if any at all? I use microfiber towels. Also how often should I wax it? I use carnauba wax. Right now i wash once a week or if it gets really dirty, and I wax once a month
